We are looking for an experienced AI Data Platform Architect to join a strategic transformation initiative for Coveris. The consultant will play a leading role in defining the future enterprise data platform and AI-ready architecture, supporting both the discovery phase and the implementation roadmap.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong architectural expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and future-proof data platform solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical discovery and architecture workstream
- Assess the current data landscape, including source systems, integrations, reporting flows, and architectural constraints
- Identify data fragmentation, technical risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
- Design the target-state ("North Star") enterprise data platform architecture
- Evaluate cloud data platform options, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, AWS, and comparable technologies
- Recommend the optimal platform strategy based on business value, scalability, cost, security, operational feasibility, and EU data residency requirements
- Define integration patterns, data movement principles, and core platform building blocks
- Assess AI readiness and define the required data foundation to support AI and GenAI initiatives
- Provide recommendations for data governance, security, access management, and compliance
- Evaluate the technical feasibility of prioritized business use cases
- Support Phase 2 planning by contributing to the implementation roadmap, sequencing, and high-level effort estimation
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Data Architect, Data Platform Architect, or similar senior architecture role
- Strong background in enterprise cloud data platforms and modern data architectures
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, AWS, or similar cloud ecosystems
- Experience designing data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, analytics platforms, and integration architectures
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, identity and access management, and compliance principles.
- Ability to quickly assess complex and fragmented enterprise environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
Preferred experience
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, finance, or other multi-site enterprise environments
- Integration experience with ERP, CRM, MES, operational systems, and reporting platforms
- Knowledge of AI readiness assessments, machine learning platforms, GenAI enablement, or data product development
