PHP Developer (Typescript, Next.JS, Sylius, Azure)

For our client, we are looking for an experienced PHP Developer with strong expertise in backend development using PHP and Symfony-based e-commerce systems (Sylius), as well as frontend experience with TypeScript and Next.js, to support the development and modernization of a scalable, multi-market digital commerce platform hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP and Sylius-based e-commerce architecture
• Work on the modernization and migration of the platform (Sylius v1 to v2)
• Build and maintain frontend features using TypeScript and Next.js
• Design and implement scalable, event-driven workflows and APIs
• Collaborate with the product team on delivering features across multiple markets
• Ensure high performance, stability, and scalability of the platform
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions
• Integrate third-party services, including payments, CMS (DatoCMS), and cloud services on Microsoft Azure
• Support continuous improvement of development practices and code quality

Requirements:

• Senior experience of commercial experience in software development
• Strong experience in PHP development
• Hands-on experience with Symfony or Sylius (e-commerce systems preferred)
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript
• Experience with Next.js or React in production environments
• Experience working with e-commerce platforms or complex web applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud environment
• Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations
• Experience working in scalable or distributed architectures is a plus
• Good understanding of modern software development practices (CI/CD, code quality, testing)
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, product-oriented team
• Strong communication skills in English
