We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join an international SAP team supporting and enhancing enterprise SAP ECC 6.0 environments. The role combines application support for running business-critical systems with participation in global implementation and development projects.
You will work in a multicultural environment delivering SAP technical solutions across multiple business areas, including Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and Human Resources. The position offers exposure to modern SAP technologies and collaboration with stakeholders across Europe, Americas, and Asia.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP custom solutions in SAP ECC 6.0.
- Deliver ABAP developments within the RICEF scope: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms.
- Develop solutions using ABAP Objects (ABAP OO) and Enhancement Framework.
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for productive SAP systems and resolve technical incidents.
- Participate in international SAP projects, rollouts, upgrades, and change requests.
- Cooperate with functional consultants and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop integrations using Web Services and other SAP technologies.
- Prepare technical documentation and ensure development quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend modern SAP technical approaches.
- Occasionally travel abroad for workshops, go-lives, or project activities (1-2 weeks).
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0.
- Very good knowledge of ABAP programming.
- Very good knowledge of ABAP OO programming.
- Strong experience in RICEF developments.
- Practical experience with Enhancement Framework.
- Experience with at least one of the following: SAP Interactive Adobe Forms, SAP Workflow, Web Dynpro for ABAP, Web Services
- Good understanding of SAP business processes in: SAP FI/CO, SAP SD, SAP SCM
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and strong sense of responsibility.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel occasionally internationally.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP HR / HCM, SAP BW, SAP XI/PI, SAP Portal programming.
- Knowledge of new SAP technologies such as: SAP HANA development, SAP UI5, SAP Fiori
- Experience in Pharmaceuticals or Chemicals industry.
- Experience working in an international environment.
Additional Advantage for Candidates Supporting SAP HCM CHRIS System
- Good knowledge of Web Dynpro for ABAP.
- Good knowledge of SAP HCM programming.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as SAP HCM ABAP Developer.
