Senior Data Platform Engineer (Python/GCP)

We have an exciting opportunity with one of our clients, we are looking for a talented Senior Data Platform Engineer to fill the position of Senior Data Platform Engineer with Python and GCP

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-performance data pipelines in Python
• Maintaining and enhancing existing components written in Go and Java
• Provisioning infrastructure using Terraform with a modular, reusable approach
• Developing custom infrastructure components for more complex deployment scenarios
• Defining and expanding testing strategies using pytest while introducing more proactive quality assurance practices

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly GKE, GCE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Functions
• Experience with Terraform
• Solid understanding of containerization and Kubernetes (GKE)
• Experience with Dataform and Cloud Build (CI/CD)
• Willingness to work with codebases written in Go and Java
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and stream processing systems
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Willingness to participate in a rotating support schedule during extended business hours (8:00 AM-8:00 PM)
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
